Toriano Goldman (Crew Leader)toriano-goldman

I grew up in Philadelphia, the SouthWest region. I joined PowerCorpsPHL in Cohort 4 as a member. I came back for a second term of service in Cohort 5, but in a leadership role as Assistant Crew Leader. I excelled in that position and was presented the opportunity to serve as a Supportive Services fellow. Not too long after, I was offered another opportunity to become a permanent Parks and Recreation Crew Leader. Now I am not only serving my community, but also members whose position I was just in. PowerCorpsPHL has helped me see the good in every individual. I am driven by the members themselves to ensure they are successful. I am reshaping the way they live, think, and impact their community. I bring new and young ideas that come from a member’s standpoint to my role as a Crew Leader. I am able to relate to the members because I grew up in the same environment and have gone through a lot of similar situations. I want to be a model for them to use as a guide to excel in all their endeavors. At the end of the day, I want to help members understand they can obtain anything by just being true to who they are.
