Sustainability

Each coat rack represents another step in the life of a fallen Philadelphia tree. After reclaimed city wood is milled into tree stakes, the remaining offcuts are saved and transformed into functional household pieces.

By finding a new use for a byproduct of the tree-stake production process, PowerCorpsPHL reduces waste, makes the most of every tree, and creates hands-on woodworking and manufacturing opportunities for young adults.
