Designed in collaboration with employers and industry partners, PCPHL Industry Academies are advanced training tracks that combine on-the-job and classroom-training that aim to transition graduates to career-track employment. Ideal applicants are graduates of the PCPHL foundations program and external applicants who have 6 months to 1 year of prior industry experience, or who have equivalent workforce development, trade, or vocational training.

Skilled Trades (Home Repair) Academy
The City of Philadelphia and PowerCorpsPHL have launched the Home Repair Academy. This six-month paid training program is designed to prepare Philadelphians for careers in residential construction and the skilled trades, including: classroom and hands-on training in general construction, HVAC, weatherization, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and carpentry, industry-recognized credentials (OSHA 30 and NCCER Core), and paid internships with a local residential contractor.

Water and Land Mangement Academy
The Water & Land Management Academy is designed to prepare participants for success in landcare maintenance, landscaping, stormwater management, and related industries. Training includes construction site safety, landcare, stormwater infrastructure, invasive plant removal, planting, equipment operation, and site maintenance.

Landcare Apprenticeship
The Landscape Apprenticeship is designed to prepare participants for success in landcare, urban forestry, and stormwater infrastructure. Training at the Scattergood Nature Preserve includes trail and waterway maintenance, arboriculture, ecological restoration, native landscape care, equipment operation, and ecological infrastructure maintenance. Graduates are prepared for career-track opportunities in urban forestry, stormwater infrastructure, land management, and related industries.
