During their 4 month-long service term, foundations members serve on crews and learn hands-on environmental stewardship skills such as: natural lands care, urban agriculture, stormwater infrastructure maintenance, maintenance of parks and rec centers, and trail creation and preservation.
In addition to on-site service, members engage in classroom-based training designed to build career readiness and transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, work ethic, and digital literacy.
